Nigel Higgins, Chief Executive Officer

Nigel Higgins was appointed Chief Executive of the Rothschild Group in March 2010. He is also Co-Head of Rothschild's Global Financial Advisory division, which he has led for the past decade.

Nigel joined Rothschild in 1982 after graduating from Oxford University. Since the late 1990s he has held a number of senior positions within Rothschild, including Head of UK Investment Banking and Co-Head of European Investment Banking.

During his 30 year career Nigel has advised a broad range of international corporate clients. He has also undertaken a wide variety of government and privatisation assignments principally in the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, Denmark and Turkey. 

Nigel was a member of the Advisory Board for the Commercial Directorate of the UK's National Health Service from 2002–2007, and is a Governor of a London school.
