JRE Partners

JRE Partners is a joint venture that invests the capital of our three principals in private equity and quasi-equity investments in Asia, primarily in India and China.

We combine the strengths of Rothschild’s intellectual capital and global network of contacts with the operating and investment experience of our other two principals, the Jardine Matheson Group (www.jardines.com) and Exor S.p.A. (www.exor.com), the European investment company controlled by the Agnelli Family.

We invest our principals’ capital with the objective of maximising long-term capital appreciation, balanced by a prudent approach to risk. While we focus on taking minority positions in growth capital opportunities, we also consider investing in mezzanine structures that balance downside protection with some equity upside.
 
We invest across many different business and industry sectors, targeting situations where we can add value by leveraging the networks and expertise of our principals. We have a longer-term perspective on investments than most private equity funds.
